Senior Iranian commander says America cannot act against Iran and urges it to focus on its own internal crises.
Mohammad Reza Naghdi, senior advisor to the IRGC Commander-in-Chief, declared that “the United States is finished” and incapable of taking action against Iran—even if it were to deploy 12 aircraft carriers near its shores.
Speaking on February 11, 2026, to SNN.ir, Naghdi asserted that America would not be able to do a “damn thing” militarily against Iran. He claimed that the US has already been defeated strategically and is mired in frustration and what he described as global humiliation.
Naghdi further argued that the US should concentrate on domestic affairs rather than confronting Iran, suggesting that Washington should complete National Guard deployments within its own states instead of projecting power abroad. He also referenced alleged political scandals involving President Trump as evidence, in his view, of American weakness and internal instability.
