A UK court has convicted four men in Birmingham for the sexual assault and rape of a vulnerable 16-year-old girl. Prosecutors said Arqash Zaffar picked up the girl in the Alum Rock area of Birmingham, took her to a hotel, and contacted others who later assaulted her.
Shahban Arif, Mohammed Nadim, Shiraz Nassar, and Zaffar were all found guilty by the court.
The verdict emphasizes individual criminal responsibility and the justice system’s obligation to protect minors and vulnerable people. UK authorities stressed that sexual violence is condemned unequivocally and that accountability applies to perpetrators alone, regardless of background.
