Remember the Klu Klux Klan? If you don't - it was those funny guys that marched around in long white robes and hats with crosses.

They were American white men who said they were Christians, and hated any person who was not Christian and not white.

It's true that they were scary and intimidating. They also had public supporters, but most of Americans were against them and finally fought back.
