Local sources said a military official in the regime, from the city of Qardha, Bashar al-Assad's birthplace, was killed this morning, Tuesday, in an explosion in the western rural area of Daraa.

The Deraa and the Suburbs news network reported that Colonel Shadi Satiti, from the ranks of the 112th Brigade, was killed today, by an explosive device planted by unknown individuals on the road between the towns of Jamla and Ein D'Ichar, west of Daraa.

The Daraa sub-district is considered one of the most turbulent areas in the Syrian-controlled territories of Syria, as it has witnessed daily assassinations and explosions, and it has been in this situation since it was regained by regime forces in 2018.
