Former Iranian diplomat Amir Mousavi claims Iran now has enough enriched uranium to build 18 to 24 nuclear bombs and could weaponize within hours if war breaks out.
Former Iranian diplomat Amir Mousavi said in an August 12, 2025 interview on Dijlah TV (Iraq) that Iran has begun preparing for a “major confrontation” with Israel at the highest level, and that there is internal pressure on Supreme Leader Khamenei to change his fatwa and pursue nuclear weapons.
Mousavi stated that Iran is only hours away from obtaining a nuclear weapon, since it already possesses all the necessary ingredients.
He added that even if the Fordow facility were destroyed, Iran has enough enriched uranium for at least 18–24 bombs.
