First publication: Development in the congressional investigation into the Israeli NGOs that participated in financing the Kaplan protest and are suspected of undermining Israeli democracy, with funds they allegedly received from the Biden administration
As a reminder, the NGOs, including the "Movement for Quality Government" and "Blue and White Future", received letters in March from the Congressional Foreign Affairs and Judiciary Committees requiring them to submit detailed documents regarding their activities and financial flows, including transcripts of text messages, by April 9; This is as a result of suspicions that they received direct or indirect funding from the Biden administration in order to intervene in Israeli politics with its help - something that, according to US law, could amount to an illegal subversion of the democratic regime of a US ally.
We are now announcing that Congress is not satisfied with the documents submitted by at least some of the NGOs, and consider the material submitted to be a partial and insufficient answer to the questions raised about them.
In light of this, a second letter was written to the NGOs with a demand to complete the missing materials as soon as possible, and work has even begun on issuing subpoenas for the heads of the NGOs to come and give testimony before Congress.
