Minister Gideon Sa'ar made a statement before the Security Council discussion and said: "I came here because our hostages are still starving and tortured in basements in Gaza - they cannot be forgotten."
"I came to put the issue on the global stage." Sa'ar attacked the countries that declared recognition of a Palestinian state and said that "they assassinated the release of the hostages and the ceasefire agreement. They are prolonging the war."
Eli David, the brother of the kidnapped Evitar David, said in his speech at the UN Security Council:
"Last weekend, we received a new video from hell. We were reminded of how cruel and inhuman Hamas and its sick partners can be. My brother was a living skeleton. He barely had the ability to move or speak, his voice was hardly recognizable.
In this video, my little brother was forced to speak to the world and then start digging his grave inside a dark and filthy tunnel in Gaza."
