More than 60 wanted persons were arrested, including 18 Hamas Islamic terrorists.
IDF forces continue to operate under the direction of the Shin Bet to thwart terrorism in Judea and Samaria.
Over the past week, Etzion Brigade forces operated in the village of Beit Ummar as part of a brigade operation that lasted about three days. The forces operated in about 300 locations and carried out about 220 interrogations that led to the arrest of four suspects who were planning to carry out terrorist attacks. Along with the arrest of eight terrorists involved in arms trafficking, including a terrorist who threw Molotov cocktails at the settlement of Carmi Tzur. In addition, more than 15 vehicles purchased with terrorist funds were confiscated.
The Yehuda Brigade forces conducted hundreds of searches, arresting 18 wanted Hamas operatives and instigators of terrorism, including a wanted man who incited and praised the latest attack. During the operation, M-16 weapons, pistols, a David's slingshot, a gas grenade, cartridges and explosive devices were confiscated.
In the Benjamin Brigade, forces operated in four targeted operations, during which 17 additional wanted persons were arrested, including weapons dealers, troublemakers, Molotov cocktail throwers and instigators of terrorism. Dozens of additional suspects were detained for questioning. In addition, they confiscated a pistol, an M-4 rifle and other weapons.
In the Menashe Brigade, forces of the Judea and Samaria Police, under the direction of the Shin Bet, arrested terrorists who were working to harm IDF forces and promote terrorist infrastructure. In the village of Barta'a, additional terrorists were arrested, weapons were located and confiscated, and suspects suspected of involvement in terrorist activity in the region were interrogated.
