WATCH: Lebanese Justice Minister: I support direct negotiations with Israel

Lebanese Justice Minister Adel Nasser said in an October 23, 2025 interview on MTV Lebanon that Lebanon would be much stronger if it conducted direct negotiations with Israel, a statement that received resounding applause from the studio audience.

He said that one cannot negotiate with friends, rather, it is necessary to negotiate with rivals and enemies.

Nasser added that remaining in an eternal state of war with Israel would not serve the Lebanese people. He caveated that he was speaking in a personal capacity and not on behalf of the government.

Lebanese politicians are the mirror image of their people who have to change their views about Israel as an enemy and Iran and Arabs as ( friends !! ) . Israel is not an enemy and Iran is not a friend

Lebanese people have to abandon their old beliefs that they can defeat Israel from their cultural roots of hatred towards Israel and the Jews.

He is a fool. Israel is not against the Lebanese people or the Lebanese government. It is Hizbollah orchestrated by Iran that is the enemy. The problem here is that they do not know the difference.
