Israelis Warned of Phishing Attacks on AirDrop
Israel’s National Cyber Directorate said that, recently, there have been reports of sophisticated phishing attempts using AirDrop – a convenient technology for sharing files between Apple devices.
In one case, a phishing message was sent to the device that appeared to have been received from Apple and asked to enter Apple ID details for “verification”.
The goal of the scam was to steal the details and take control of the user’s accounts.
