If we are to believe the data published by the government in Gaza, the damage so far in the Gaza Strip is unprecedented and will take many years if at all to recover.
Yesterday, the government claimed that over 181,000 housing units were damaged, of which 20,000 were completely destroyed and unfit for habitation.
If we rely on past data according to which an average household in Gaza includes about 6 people, this means that already today over 1 million Gazans are left without a home or at least their home is damaged and in need of restoration.
Since until the beginning of the current war the Strip was not fully restored from the damage of the previous rounds, it is likely that Gaza will have difficulty recovering from the current blow that is still ongoing.
