The British newspaper The Times has revealed where ousted Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is expected to live after fleeing to Russia.
The newspaper reported that after receiving “asylum” in Russia, Bashar al-Assad is expected to move to the Moscow region, west of the Russian capital, where his family owns up to 20 luxury apartments in the “Capital City” complex.
The newspaper quoted a businesswoman named Marina as saying that when she traveled to Moscow to inspect an apartment, she was surprised that one of her neighbors might be Bashar al-Assad and his family.
Marina, who was waiting to meet a real estate agent, said: “I never imagined that I would live in the same building as a president, but it’s good for me because the security will probably be better, especially if he or a member of his family lives here.”
