After a relatively quiet period, the flames rose again with the foiling of the attack thanks to the operation in Jenin - and the attempted attack at the Tapuach intersection hours later. The events do not take place in a vacuum: it was estimated that after the end of President Biden's visit to Israel, which ended in frustration for the Palestinians, there would be an increase in terrorist incidents again. If they managed to calm the spirits during the visit, now tensions are rising again.
The current situation is of course related to frustration on the Palestinian side and the fact that the Palestinian Authority operates with limited capacity to thwart terrorism. It is difficult for them to confront the armed and wanted, and therefore the army is doing the activities that we have witnessed in recent times. The arrests continued tonight as well, when seven wanted persons were caught in several locations in Judea and Samaria.
