IAI announced this week that together with German company Hensoldt it will supply the German Navy with four long-range AESA radar systems adapted to the Navy's F124 frigates, in a deal worth about 200 million euros. 

The systems enable the detection of long-range aerial targets, including ballistic ones, as well as improved accuracy and the ability to track a wide variety of targets simultaneously. 

The deal also includes the installation of a land-based radar system, identical to the radar on the ships, for the training and instruction of technicians and operators as well as for the development of additional capabilities.
