A preliminary investigation of the circumstances of the incident reveals that an 18-year-old boy, an Israeli citizen, who works in agriculture in the kibbutz's fields was caught in the Hezbollah barrage of fire and got out of his vehicle (apparently to find shelter in a nearby ditch). 

A rocket hit a few meters from him and he was mortally wounded by shrapnel all over his body which killed him. 

Another farmer who passed by the area some time later noticed the victim and called the rescue forces.

When they arrived at the scene, they pronounced him dead.
