Islamabad has reportedly warned Tehran that any attack on Saudi Arabia—whether carried out directly by Iran or through its Houthi proxy—would be regarded as a direct threat to Pakistan.

Pakistani officials are particularly concerned that renewed Houthi missile and drone attacks against Saudi territory could activate the mutual defense agreement between Islamabad and Riyadh, potentially drawing Pakistani forces into the expanding regional conflict.

Pakistan’s message leaves Tehran with no room for ambiguity: using proxies will not shield Iran from the consequences of an attack on Saudi Arabia.
