German authorities have arrested three suspects linked to the intelligence branch of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) following a knife attack targeting Iranian protesters in Hamburg.
At least three people were stabbed during the incident, which occurred at a gathering held in solidarity with protesters inside Iran and against the Islamic regime.
According to initial reports, several Afghan nationals armed with knives carried out the attack. The violent incident took place just hours after threatening remarks by Ali Khamenei, who called for action against what he described as “foreign agitators.” German investigators are examining potential direct or indirect links between the attackers and Iranian intelligence structures, amid growing concern that the Islamic Republic is exporting repression beyond its borders.
