During the University of California, Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy spring commencement ceremony, a student walked across the stage waving a Palestinian flag.

When he reached the official holding his diploma, a professor refused to hand it over. Announcers then stated over the microphone, “I’m sorry, but we’re not allowed to have flags,” and “Flags are prohibited.”

The student was instructed to put away the flag before the ceremony could continue, and he could receive his diploma.
