President Trump says US may have to “complete the job” in Iran, warning that a new American campaign there will mark the end of the Islamic Republic
President Donald Trump on Saturday night threatened further military action against Iran after American aircraft struck Iranian military targets in response to what Washington said were repeated violations of a ceasefire agreement.
In a post to his Truth Social account, the president threatened to “complete the job” if Iranian attacks continue, adding that should the US be forced into a new military campaign against Iran, the Islamic Republic will be overthrown.
“United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, for violating the Cease Fire Agreement, AGAIN! It is very possible that they will never learn! There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
