WATCH: Reza Pahlavi: Iranians and Jews share a biblical bond
Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi spoke about the deep historical relationship between the Persian people and the Jewish people, saying that the connection is not political or temporary, but biblical.
“Iranians and Jews have a biblical relationship,” Pahlavi said. “In fact, the only two countries that can claim that.”
Asked by a reporter whether he is “an Israeli asset,” Pahlavi rejected the claim directly.
“Of course not,” he said. “But I am a friend to Israel and to the Jewish people.”
