While hundreds of analysis has been written in the last 24 hours, there is one important aspect of Israel Pager attacks that seems to have slipped by.
Most people see Hezbollah as a large army full of brainwashed Shiite fanatics who can't wait to die and go to Islam Heaven, including orgies of alcohol and virgins.
The truth is that many of the terrorists are quite normal and as Shiites, entered the ranks of Hezbollah for more mundane reasons, mostly the great pay and benefits that they and their families could enjoy.
As early as October 2023, there were reports that many Hezbollah reservists did not answer their orders to join their units.
