Turkey has orchestrated an illegal immigration crisis, as most migrants coming to Cyprus travel from Turkey. 

They are trying to change the demographics for political purposes.

It should be noted that a Turkish invasion in August 1974 resulted in the capture of approximately 36% of the island. Turkey remains to this day the ONLY country that recognizes this occupation.
