Trump: "Hamas is only a small part of the deal in the Middle East. If it does not behave properly, it will be eliminated"
US President Donald Trump last night addressed Hamas' violations of the ceasefire, during which a reserve soldier was killed in Rafah. Trump said that "if Hamas does not behave properly, it will be eliminated. Israel has the right to respond."
According to him, "Hamas is only a small part of the deal in the Middle East. If it does not behave properly, it will be eliminated."
US Vice President J.D. Vance said last night that the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip continues to hold, despite Israeli attacks on Gaza City and mutual accusations between Israel and Hamas of violating it. Vance told reporters that “the ceasefire is holding. That doesn’t mean there won’t be small incidents here and there […] We know that [Hamas] or another entity inside Gaza has attacked an [Israeli] soldier. We expect Israel to respond, but I believe that the peace that the president declared will stand despite this."
