Two Americans working for the Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF) were wounded today in a direct terror attackโyet another strike against those trying to help the people of Gaza.
Last month, Hamas terrorists ambushed a bus carrying Palestinian aid workers headed to a GHF distribution center near Khan Younis. At least eight were killed and many others wounded. These are not isolated incidents. They reflect a broader campaign by Hamas to destroy any effort that bypasses their grip on aid and control.
Why? Because the GHF distributes humanitarian supplies freely and transparently—without Hamas taking a cut. For a terrorist regime that profits from siphoning off international aid and reselling it to its own war-weary people, the GHF is a threat to their financial and political dominance.
But instead of rallying behind the victims and defending GHF’s lifesaving mission, the United Nations and more than 170 NGOs—including Amnesty International, Doctors Without Borders, Oxfam, Save the Children, and others—have shamefully called for the fund’s shutdown. They cite alleged violations of humanitarian principles and civilian casualties at GHF distribution sites. But where is the outrage when Hamas turns those same sites into launching pads and human shields?
The truth is that these groups—through ideological bias, cowardice, or worse—have become complicit in Hamas's efforts to choke off independent aid. Their actions embolden terrorists and punish the very people they claim to protect.
Instead of dismantling the one operation capable of delivering real, unfiltered help, the global community should be demanding protection for the GHF and accountability for Hamas’s brutal campaign. Turning a blind eye to terror while condemning those fighting to save lives is not humanitarianism—it’s collusion.
It is past time that the US and Israel counter the terror-colluding organizations - starting with sanctions against the UN.
