WATCH: British-Palestinian journalist: The U.S. only understands the language of force

British-Palestinian journalist Abdel Bari Atwan said in a video posted to his YouTube channel on September 8, 2023 that America’s military intervention in Syria has failed and that it is now attempting to intervene politically under the pretext that the population is suffering from famine.

He said that the U.S. is attempting to establish a Druze state in southern Syria and that the ultimate goal is to split Syria – and all the other Arab countries in the Middle East and North Africa – into several sect-based states in order to ensure that Israel remains the regional superpower.

Atwan said that this “scheme” must be opposed and that the Syrian government needs the help of the “resistance axis.” He elaborated: “Otherwise, what’s the point in having 150,000, 200,000, or 400,000 rockets?

What are these missiles good for, if Syria is divided into six different states?”

In addition, he said that millions of Syrians should march towards Deir Al-Zour and the eastern side of the Euphrates River in order to show their opposition to the U.S. presence there. Moreover, he said that the U.S. is attempting to starve the Syrian people so that they capitulate, and he argued that America only understands the language of force, as was evident in Afghanistan and elsewhere.

He added: “Which is better: Dying of starvation, or defending their country against this invading colonizer?”
