Israel reportedly sabotaged more than 100 Iranian missile launchers during the 12-day war last month, destroying them immediately after activation, according to Iranian analyst Saeed Laylaz.
He admitted in an interview with Eghtesad Online that Israel had breached Iran’s entire air defense system, with between 120–150 launchers exploding on the spot.
The rare admission in tightly controlled Iranian media exposed serious military and intelligence failures. A former U.S. intelligence officer told Iran International that the true number was likely much higher, highlighting the depth of Israeli penetration. Independent analyst Michael Pregent noted: “If someone says 120 to 150, the real number could be far greater.”
Laylaz criticized Iran’s unpreparedness for what he called a “multi-layered surprise attack,” adding: “I no longer trust any security body, whether the Revolutionary Guard, Intelligence Ministry, or army. From a security standpoint, the Islamic Republic was forced to its knees.”
