Arab reports said the US has informed Egypt it will reduce military aid over Cairo’s refusal to cooperate with US President Donald Trump’s Gaza relocation plan.

Reports indicate that the Trump administration has taken steps to reduce military aid to Egypt due to Egypt's opposition to President Donald Trump’s controversial Gaza plan.

This development stems from Trump’s proposal, first unveiled in early 2025, to relocate Gaza’s roughly 2.3 million Palestinian residents—primarily to Egypt and Jordan—allowing the United States to take control of the Gaza Strip and redevelop it into what he has called the “Riviera of the Middle East.”
