Trump met Lebanese President Joseph Aoun at the White House on Tuesday, declaring that relations between Washington and Beirut were improving and promising significant US assistance. Aoun said the time had come for Lebanon to become stable and secure.

Trump described the Abraham Accords as a tremendous success and predicted that many more countries would join them soon.

Turning to Iran, Trump said Tehran was desperately seeking negotiations behind the scenes, but Washington had no interest in talks until the regime was prepared to take meaningful action.
