Egyptian journalist and prominent TV host Ibrahim Eissa said in a December 2, 2025 appearance on Al-Mashhad TV (UAE) that expecting Hamas to surrender its weapons “out of patriotism” or to spare the lives of Gazans is nothing more than an exercise in futility.
According to Eissa, Hamas has no intention of laying down its arms, signing any agreement, or leaving the scene—because the organization’s survival always takes precedence over the wellbeing of the people it claims to represent.
Eissa stressed that Hamas will not hand over its weapons to the Palestinian Authority, Egypt, or the Arab League. Ultimately, he said, Hamas will end up surrendering its weapons only to Israel, after dragging Gaza into catastrophic devastation.
He expanded the criticism to Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan, and the Houthis in Yemen, saying that all these groups operate under one brutal principle: their people “can go to Hell” as long as the organization itself survives.
