President Masoud Pezeshkian held a phone call with President Erdogan, focusing on recent unrest in Iran and regional stability.
According to Iranian readouts, Pezeshkian accused what he called “enemies of the Islamic nation” of seeking to spread terrorism and instability by fueling internal crises.
He claimed that the mass participation of millions of Iranian citizens in the public arena thwarted the objectives behind recent events, and stressed Tehran’s determination to further strengthen bilateral ties with Turkey.
Erdogan, for his part, emphasized that Iran’s peace, stability, and security are of “strategic and vital importance” to Turkey. He rejected any scenario involving external intervention against Iran and openly praised Tehran’s “principled and structured approach” in handling the protests.
