Eran Malka gives us some clear background on one of the most curious cases of bad diplomacy in western history.
-Qatar supports Iran and terrorist organizations, while at the same time beckoning to the West and hosting Western military bases and prestigious sports tournaments on its territory.
-Qatar represents the Muslim Brotherhood and the Hamas political leadership.
-Egypt, on the other hand, is very afraid of the Muslim Brotherhood as if it were a malignant disease, and its interest is to control Hamas-Gaza, or in other words, "the military wing of Hamas."
-If we search carefully, we will find Qatar's fingerprints next to Iran's fingerprints in the genocide lawsuit filed by South Africa against Israel.
-In June 2017, a major crisis occurred between the US and moderate Arab countries over Qatar's support for terrorism. The US declared Qatar a state sponsor of terrorism, and Arab countries led by Egypt and Saudi Arabia severed diplomatic ties with it and imposed a political and economic boycott on it that lasted several years.
The relationship was renewed with the election of Joe Biden as US President and the rest is known to all of us.
ERAN MALKA ADDS:
Why is all this background important?
Since its founding, Israel has relied on external mediation, which in gentle words we will define as "unfair" or biased.
All this happened in the encouragement of "friendship" in the West and Europe, when Israeli interests were always last in line and the same is happening before our eyes today.
If we do not wake up today, we will accept Qatar in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan, and hence the path to the extreme strengthening of terrorist organizations on the Israeli fence - will be very short!!!
