Israeli and US electronic warfare reportedly blinded Iran’s Russian-built air-defense network before precision strikes destroyed it.
Iran’s S-300PMU-2 system failed to stop Israeli and American operations, despite years of Russian claims that it was among the world’s most advanced long-range air-defense platforms.
Iran reportedly possessed four S-300 batteries intended to defend Tehran and strategic nuclear sites. All were ultimately destroyed, leaving Iranian airspace exposed to Western aircraft and long-range weapons.
The defeat was not achieved through firepower alone. Israeli and US forces reportedly used advanced electronic warfare to disrupt the S-300’s acquisition and targeting radars, effectively blinding the system before destroying its critical components with precision-guided weapons.
