In this video, I reveal one of the greatest archaeological crimes in history—and one of the most extraordinary rescue projects ever created.

In 1999, 9,000 tons of ancient soil were illegally removed from the Temple Mount and dumped like garbage.

Out of that destruction was born the Temple Mount Sifting Project, which has since recovered over half a million artifacts from 3,000 years of Jerusalem’s history, including the time of the First and Second Temples and the time of Jesus.
