BBC: Qatar and its role in supporting the Hamas

BBC reported that since the elimination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, around 1,000 Hamas members and their families have relocated from Tehran to Doha.

According to the report, the Qatari government has provided housing for the arrivals, with senior Hamas figures receiving luxury villas and released prisoners from Israeli jails granted free apartments.

The move highlights Qatar’s continued role as a safe haven for Hamas leadership, further strengthening the group’s presence in the Gulf state. This development comes as pressure on Hamas intensifies across the region, raising questions about Qatar’s ongoing patronage of the organization.
