Hani Al-Sibai responds to Jordan's Muslim Brotherhood ban: Jordan isn't even a real country – it was created to protect Israel; King Abdullah is a servant, collaborator: Egypt's Al-Sisi Always plays the victim "like Shylock".
London-based Egyptian Islamist scholar Hani Al-Sibai criticized Jordan's King Abdullah II and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi in a video posted to his Facebook fan page on April 25, 2025. The video came in response to the arrest of a terrorist cell in Jordan and the recent ban on the Muslim Brotherhood.
Al-Sibai claimed that Jordan is not a "real country," saying most of its territory was cut off from Syria to serve as a buffer protecting the Israeli "entity." He mocked Jordan's economy, asserting that its currency is only strong because of foreign aid and that the country produces nothing "except for collaboration." He described King Abdullah as a "servant" and a "guard," saying betrayal is the only thing he manufactures. He also ridiculed Jordan's shape, saying it looks like a shoe on the map.
Turning to Egypt, Al-Sibai insulted President Al-Sisi, claiming that he is constantly bent over and suggesting that he was abused by children in Cairo during his youth. He accused Al-Sisi of always playing the victim to gain advantage - "like Shylock."
