Revealed in the Shin Bet investigation: an Israeli citizen's connection with Hezbollah elements. Israeli citizens were arrested from Kfar Qasim and Melod who were used as an infrastructure for explosives smugglers. Two explosive devices made in Iran were seized.

It was allowed to be published that as part of a joint operation by the Shin Bet, the Israel Police and the IDF, a number of Israeli citizens, residents of Kfar Qasem, were arrested during the month of July, on suspicion of receiving a high quality explosive. In their possession were located two Iranian-made explosive devices and another high explosive.

In a raid by Shin Bet, YAMAM (National anti-terror unit) and Border police fighters on a residential complex in Lod, additional Israeli citizens were located who intended to use one of the aforementioned explosives, for criminal purposes.

The Shin Bet investigation revealed that Hezbollah worked to recruit and operate an infrastructure of smugglers in Israel for the purpose of receiving abnormal illegal drugs and distributing them to various parties, including criminal parties.

Details of the detainees:
1. Galal Harsa - Israeli citizen, resident of Kfar Kasem, 28 years old.
2. Ahmed Issa - Israeli citizen resident of Kfar Qasim, 30 years old.
3. Muhammad Issa - Israeli citizen, resident of Kfar Qasim, 39 years old.
4. Noah Easem - Israeli citizen, resident of Lod, 30 years old.

Today, indictments were filed against the four before the District Court (Central) on charges of weapons offenses.

A senior official in the Shin Bet: This affair once again illustrates the efforts of terrorist elements from Hezbollah and Iran to exploit the Arab citizens of Israel for security activities against the state. It also emerged in the investigation that the seam between the security and the criminal is extremely thin.
