After escaping slavery and becoming a human rights activist, Deng has drawn parallels between his own experiences and the suffering of Israeli hostages, particularly following the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks. 

He has led solidarity marches from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and met with families of hostages to express support. 

Deng emphasizes the shared history of oppression between Africans and Jews and recalls Israel's support for South Sudanese rebels during Sudan's civil war. 

Despite facing criticism, he continues to advocate for unity against radical ideologies and stands firmly with Israel.
