The Syrian regime news agency (SANA) reported that "civilians" were injured in an Israeli attack on targets around the capital Damascus.

The agency quoted a military source as saying, "At approximately 21:30 (local time) this evening (Sunday), the Israeli enemy launched an air attack from the direction of the Golan, targeting several points in the vicinity of Damascus."

The source added that the Israeli attacks "resulted in the injury of two civilians and some material losses."

Local sources reported that the Israeli bombing was aimed at the scientific research center in the town of Jamrayah, west of Damascus, and noted that residents of the areas surrounding the town and several neighborhoods in the capital confirmed the spread of disturbing odors following the bombing of the research center.

The sources added that the bombing also targeted sites in the Dimas area near the Damascus-Beirut highway, in addition to a house located in the Qudsayya suburb, west of the capital.

During the past week, Israel launched a series of airstrikes against a number of sites in the capital Damascus and its surroundings, Deir ez-Zor, and in the eastern region of Aleppo province, which witnessed the most violent bombing of its kind, which resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries, including 5 deaths from Hezbollah.

It was reported on the Syrian social networks that "Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes against the Aldimas and Jamrayah areas in the western countryside of Damascus. Local sources reported that one of the strikes hit the "Scientific Research Center" in the Jamrayah area. A local Syrian source spoke of a sarin gas leak from warehouses that were the target of the Israeli attacks in the town of Jamraya in the countryside (Rif) of Damascus.

A few days ago, Israeli strikes targeted sites belonging to Hezbollah in the Jadeidat al-Shibani area of the countryside of Damascus, causing material damage and a fire at the target site.
