WATCH: Trump: Maduro 'captured' after 'large-scale strike'

President Donald Trump says Venezuela's Nicolas Maduro has been captured after the US conducted a "large-scale strike" on the country early Saturday morning.

NEWSMAX -- "The United States of America has successfully carried out a large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the Country," Trump wrote on Truth Social at 4:21 a.m. ET.

"This operation was done in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement. Details to follow. There will be a News Conference today at 11 A.M., at Mar-a-Lago. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP."

In an overnight phone interview with The New York Times, Trump called the covert operation "brilliant."

Awesome! But why I wonder, did Trump stop Israel mid-air from regime change in Tehran? Was it to stop Israel from further showing their awesome skill & might lest it overshadow the US? I'll never know
