Indonesian forces recovered the body of Nicholas F. Goselin after his civilian aircraft was attacked and burned at a remote airstrip.
The Indonesian military has recovered the body of Nicholas F. Goselin, an American civilian pilot working for PT AMA, who was killed by West Papuan separatist terrorists on Thursday.
Goselin’s aircraft was attacked after landing at the remote Ipdeheik airstrip in Balinggama Village, Papua Highlands. The terrorists then set the plane on fire.
The West Papua National Liberation Army claimed responsibility, alleging that the aircraft had violated its ban on flights into areas it considers operational zones. Indonesian authorities said the flight was civilian and that its seven Papuan passengers survived the attack.
