A top US General has called on the Pentagon and Washington’s allies to speed up weapon deliveries to Taiwan in the coming years.
US Army General Mark Milley’s warning comes amid growing Chinese invasion threats to the democratically-governed island.
Milley said Taiwan needs weapons like air defense systems and those that could target ships from land.
China's military has been practicing joint force operations at sea, ahead of Taiwanese war games that aim to simulate breaking a Chinese blockade.
Milley's warning comes as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has triggered fears that China may attempt to invade Taiwan soon.
