The Israel Police and the Shin Bet arrested a 17-year-old Israeli Arab from Lod on suspicion of murdering the couple Olga and Ruslan Frihudko, a couple from the city of Rishon LeZion, who were found shot inside a vehicle near Karmei Yosef.

The suspect, whose brother carried out the car-ramming attack at Glilot about two years ago, was arrested by Yamam counterterrorism officers at the train station in Lod.

Security officials suspect that the killer did not act alone, and the motive for the attack is being treated as nationalist in nature.
