UNIFIL statement: We have located more than 225 hidden weapons caches in the south and have disclosed their locations to the Lebanese army
UNIFIL issued a statement confirming its ongoing efforts to implement the tasks assigned to it under Resolution 1701, noting that more than 10,000 peacekeepers from nearly 50 countries continue to work “around the clock to impartially monitor the situation and report any violations.”
He continued, “UNIFIL activities are carried out in close coordination with the Lebanese army, and some of them are implemented in direct cooperation with it, especially in areas south of the Litani River.”
