Athens and Jerusalem are reportedly close to finalizing a major government-to-government deal for Israeli air defense systems as part of Greece’s “Achilles Shield” program.
A major Israeli-Greek defense agreement appears to be moving toward completion after key disagreements were reportedly resolved between the sides.
According to reports in Greece, Athens is expected to advance a government-to-government agreement with Israel for the purchase of advanced Israeli air defense systems, including David’s Sling, Barak MX and Spyder.
The systems are expected to be integrated into Greece’s new multi-layered air defense program known as “Achilles Shield,” which is designed to protect against aircraft, missiles, drones and other aerial threats.
