There is outrage on social media after the Minister of Social Affairs, Hanin Al-Sayed, announced this week that all the injured from the bombings carried out by Israel against Hezbollah operatives last year will receive a disability certificate and all the rights granted to disabled people in the country
It should be noted that Al-Sayed is Shiite.
Opponents of the move claim that this is the first time the Lebanese state includes Hezbollah injured in the country's disability protection program. Additional responses argue that the countries financially assisting Lebanon should know that it is using this money to fund the needs of Hezbollah militants.
Another interesting response written by one of the Lebanese is that the bombing victims were members of an organization that chose on its own to enter a war with Israel in October 2023 without consulting the country's leaders, so why should the state now bear the costs of their treatment...
