NEWSRAEL: We report this Wall Street Journal item, though it is our belief Hamas is not "considering" - but rather is being thrown out. They would never leave if they were not being forced to do so.
Senior Arab officials said that in recent days Hamas contacted at least two countries in the region, and inquired whether they were open to the idea of transferring the organization's political leadership to their capital cities. One of the countries is apparently Oman. Senior officials in the Arab country did not respond to this news.
The US GOP Senator from North Carolina, Ted Budd, suggested that we consider ending Qatar's status as a key ally, if it does not expel members of the terrorist organization's leadership or agree to extradite them to the US. "Qatar's failure to take action against Hamas is beginning to look like tacit support in a body designated as a terrorist organization by the United States," Budd stated.
NEWSRAEL: The reason for Hamas leaving Qatar is more likely because of calls, like that from Senator Budd. Qatar is under a lot of Western pressure to choose between their links to terror, or to the West. We can only hope that this pressure will continue.
