Germany’s domestic intelligence agency is warning that Iran may expand covert operations across Europe, with Jewish communities, Israeli-linked institutions and Iranian dissidents among the possible targets.
The warning comes as European security services investigate suspected Iran-linked attacks on synagogues, Jewish charities, Israeli sites and Iranian opposition groups. These incidents reportedly include arson, vandalism and small explosive devices, raising fears that Tehran is using proxy networks to bring its war against Israel, Jews and dissidents onto European soil.
German officials are also monitoring individuals in Germany suspected of traveling to Iran for military training or placing themselves in the service of the Iranian regime. The concern is that once direct fighting involving Iran, Israel and the US subsides, Tehran may shift more aggressively to intelligence operations, intimidation campaigns and attacks abroad.
For years, the Iranian regime has used terror proxies across the Middle East. Now, European governments are being forced to confront a dangerous reality: Iran’s campaign is not limited to Israel or the region. It is also aimed at silencing Iranian opposition voices and threatening Jewish life in Europe.
