In response to the question of how support for terrorism received public funding in Israel, the Minister of Culture and Sports Hili Troper stated that the ministry was not involved in determining the show’s content.
"The performance did not take place with the approval of the Ministry, but through general funding, a fixed budget that is transferred from the ministry to all the authorities in Israel on a regular basis according to criteria of size and socioeconomic status. The ministry is not involved in the contents of shows held in more than 250 authorities."
