Oman maintains extensive ties with the Houthis. Despite its declarations of neutrality and its role as a mediator, there are reports that Oman serves as a key logistical and financial hub for the Houthis.
Since 2015, it has been reported that Oman has served as a transit route for Iranian weapons and military equipment sent to the Houthis—including ballistic missiles, UAVs, and electronic warfare systems.
In addition, Oman’s banking system reportedly enables the Houthis to move funds through financial institutions in the Sultanate, bypassing international sanctions.
