Benjamin Netanyahu has blamed Joe Biden’s secret arms embargo for casualties in Gaza. Senior advisers to the former president fired back, denying the existence of the embargo. In short: they’re lying.
Let’s start from the beginning.
Last night, Netanyahu claimed during a press conference that Israel paid “very heavy prices” in soldiers’ lives. While “part of that is what happens in war,” he said, it was also due to the fact that “we didn’t have enough ammunition.”
Why didn’t Israel have enough ammunition? According to Netanyahu, “part of that absent ammunition was because of the embargo,” which he said was resolved once Trump took office.
